Communications is a need that humans have practice since history was first recorded. Even for animals, more so for mammals, communicating is vastly important for them to survive the brutal reality of how nature operates. In fact multiple animals have different ways of communicating with each other. Mammals like wolves howl to indicate where they are or rosters that caw to indicate Territory.
The development of telecommunications in modern times have given humans a number of ways to relay to each other messages. But before its discovery, telecommunication and telecom site acquisition has a thing that people thought would not happen for the next thousands of years, When spoken languages and written languages have not been discovered yet, Neanderthals used the body to get what they wanted across and even began to paint on walls, that will eventually develop into writing.
The invention of spoken and written language and its various development changed all this all together. Early ways of doing this is by painting pictures on wall for men that were quite primitive. That was evidence that early men had a way of relying written aspects or images that would be passed down to children that early cavemen would have. This would eventually turn to one of the earliest example of telecommunications in primitive times, which was making a smoke signal.
Another earlier example is using birds to carry out messages. A trained bird can become a carrier for important letters and telegrams that would be carried. This was done because people in that time period took note of how fast carrier birds would get to destinations and it was much safer then sending out a messenger.
A system used in medieval times was the beacon system. This required the beacons that are positioned on hilltops to be lit blaze and thus acts as a visual image that can is interpreted as an important message by allies. These would usually be found atop castles as well for the main messages sent out is that an enemy army is approaching and reinforcements are required.
The item known as an electric telegraphs was soon introduced in year 1870. This what came to be the first modern telecommunication device that used wires and other components. Using electricity to make it run, it could send messages to far places. Before it was made though, many other prototypes were created in an attempt to make it work.
The innovation of the telephone came afterward. Its was made in 1870 but still was not commercially set up for use until 1878 and 1879. This became a turning point as the technology grew at a fast pace and by the mid 1880s many telephone line were already setup in every major city of America as before it was only set up in cities like New Haven.
The radio was made during 1894. A lot of inventors had attempted to apply radio waves into communications devices. The wireless aspect of it why it is really coveted and was heavily used during the war.
These advancements have helped humankind advance in to unknown spaces. The various things lead to different inventions after another. Thanks to that, life and communicating with other is much easier then ever.
